I love refinishing furniture though currently my space is limited. I really enjoy making something old/worn out/unattractive better looking more modern or useful again.
Creating a compost bin from pallets
While in Tamarindo Costa Rica we needed a compost bin for a nature/animal park called Monkey Park. With great help from volunteers, we used old pallets, trimmed them to fit and created a 3-sided compost bin, which was then filled almost full with alternating layers of brown, green, brown, etc. Ultimate goal was 3 bins in succession so as material degraded it could be moved over and new added.
